Scarlett Ibis

The Scarlett Ibis is with out a doubt the most stunning of the 27 Ibis species on our planet. Scalett Ibis' are grey when they are born and gradually change as they mature into adulthood. It's vibrant pinky red colour, like the flamingo, comes from it's diet of crustaceans full of carotene.
They are found in the Carribean and South America.
This adult specimen was born and lived in a South African bird sanctuary/breeding program and died of natural causes.
