🖤 This beautiful kitten was lovingly preserved by renowned Wellington Taxidermist - Antoinette Ratcliffe, @antoinetteratcliffe sourced from the Ōwhango trapping community in Ohinetonga Reserve.

🖤 This reserve boarders the Tongariro Forest Park which is one of five national Kiwi sanctuaries. The reserve itself is home to native birds including the threatened Whio (blue duck). Trapping predators is an essential way of preserving our native flora and fauna.

🖤 People are often more offended by taxidermy when it is a 'domestic' species, but in this context I hope you can see the benefit. As we always say, taxidermy should salvage the destruction, and appreciate life after death. 🖤
